Verre Équipements manufactures and repairs quartz glassware, thanks to our dedicated workshop.

This dedicated quartz workshop is independent from the borosilicate workshop to avoid any contamination and impurity during the manufacturing process.

We are able to offer you classic glassware made from quartz, quartz plate.

Our specific manufacture object fits to the needs of the research facilities, industrial manufacture, R&D department … The quartz glassware can be made on a lathe, using sintered filtered disc, ground joints, GL thread, …

We are also able to machining quartz object for your needs.

Example of manufactured object : wafer boat, basket, reactor tube, stopper, …

This material, also named fused silica, is composed by 99.9% of  Silicon Dioxide  (SiO2  ).

One of the most attractive features of quartz glass is its very low thermal coefficient of expansion. Such low expansion makes it possible for the material to withstand very severe thermal shock and sharp shape.

Fused silica is oftenly used in high thermal process

Main properties:

  • High resistance to water, alkali and acid solutions
  • high transparency from the ultraviolet to the infrared spectral range,
  • high chemical purity
  • good dielectric strength, high resistivity, good microwave transmission even under high temperatures.
